Bacteria play an essential role in our ecosystems dynamics through the geochemical cycling.
During the PhD and post-doc, the BCC (Bacterial Community Composition) from several Portuguese water bodies was assessed using different molecular methodologies, from DGGE (Denaturing Gradient Gel Electrophoresis) to NGS (New Generation Sequencing).
